Heavy snow advisories lifted but roads still icy

Heavy snow advisories across the country were lifted earlier this evening, but regions outside the capital Seoul still need to watch out for slippery roads and sidewalks.
Today, areas in the eastern part of the country, including parts of Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do Provinces got 6 to 10 centimenters of snow, making for dangerous driving and causing numerous car accidents.
The weather agency is no longer calling for heavy snow, but in many areas some snow will keep falling for an hour or two more.
