But according to Politico, that was all before Trump chose Milley to be the nation’s top military officer on Saturday, replacing Marine Gen. Joe Dunford as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In addition to an impressive military record and an imposing physique, Milley also has a reputation for a powerful intellect. Not only has he earned the green beret of the Special Forces, he also holds degrees from Princeton and Columbia Universities.
