Gautam Gambhir announcement his retirement from all forms of cricket leaving several of his supporters emotional. Gambhir, who had scored 75 in the World T20 final and the 97 against Sri Lanka in the 2011 World Cup-- both of which turned out to be match-winning knocks, had bid adieu to the world of cricket by smashing 112 runs in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 match between Delhi and Andhra to give a fairytale ending.Gautam had revealed that the upcoming Ranji Trophy encounter against Andhra Pradesh at his home ground Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi will be his last match as a cricketer. In an emotional Facebook video, he shared his memories and struggles in his career and opened up on the future.
