Hulu and AT&T to Run Ads When Video is Paused
  • 5 years ago
According to Variety, the two media giants will experiment with paused ads sometime in 2019. The companies suggest they'll play short videos during breaks from
video content. The objective is to captivate viewers with an ad before they step away from their screens. AT&T's Matt Van Houten compared it to a screensaver that could run in the background in between viewings. Van Houten also teased the idea of
interactive advertisments. It's still unclear what AT&T services would include
these ads.
