How To Make a Concrete Planter

You can add style to your garden by creating concrete planters. You’ll need a bucket of concrete mix, a bucket, a stir stick, two plastic containers for molds, some cooking oil, and a paintbrush. Use the paintbrush to coat the molds with oil. Mix the concrete with water in the bucket. Fill the large mold with concrete up to an inch from the top. Press the small mold into the larger one. Leave enough concrete to form a bottom for the planter. Weigh down the smaller mold with a rock and let it set for 24 hours. Remove the molds, smooth the rough edges, and you’re ready to plant.
