Trump Claims In Tweet Border Wall Will Pay For Itself In Two Months

President Trump on Tuesday again pushed for the border wall funding.
President Trump, in an effort to get Democratic support for his wall, asserted on Tuesday that the United States loses $250 billion per year to illegal immigration and a border wall will pay for itself within months. He tweeted: "Could somebody please explain to the Democrats (we need their votes) that our Country losses 250 Billion Dollars a year on illegal immigration, not including the terrible drug flow. Top Border Security, including a Wall, is $25 Billion. Pays for itself in two months. Get it done!"
The day prior he threatened to shut down the border over the issue. "We would save Billions of Dollars if the Democrats would give us the votes to build the Wall. Either way, people will NOT be allowed into our Country illegally! We will close the entire Southern Border if necessary. Also, STOP THE DRUGS!" Trump tweeted.
The tweet echoed his remarks to reporters on Thanksgiving Day about shutting down the entire border if the migrant situation gets out of control, reports Slate. "If we find that it's uncontrollable…it gets to a level where we are going to lose control or where people are going to start getting hurt, we will close entry into the country for a period of time until we can get it under to control," Trump said. He confirmed that he meant "the whole border."
