After a very mild week of weather, with night-time temperatures mostly remaining in double figures, the weather, once again, conspired against me and delivered a cold night on Thursday and colder day on Friday. Not ideal conditions for a session on Friday after work.

The forecast for Friday evening itself was even colder with the needle set to reach low single figures as soon as the sun disappeared.

However, undeterred if not a little disappointed, I made my way to the bank to have a last session with the big fish leger gear before the weather would turn colder and I would convert the rods into predator fettle.

What could we winkle out, if anything?
