Scientists Are Looking Into Experimental Ways Of Saving Coral Reefs

Around 50 percent of coral reefs worldwide have been lost due to mass bleaching events. This loss over the last few decades is a result of warmer ocean temperatures. According to the Huffington Post, more than two dozen intervention strategies are being looked at to save the reefs. Some things scientists are looking at doing are relocation and genetic manipulation of coral species… To antibiotic use and spraying salt water into the atmosphere to shade and cool reefs.
