Targeting Not Called On Oklahoma's Robert Barnes' Hit On West Virginia's Simms

According to a report by Deadspin, Oklahoma outlasted West Virginia, 59 to 56, in a classic Big 12 shootout, and one of the biggest plays in the game came at the tail end of the first quarter. Oklahoma safety Robert Barnes appeared to target West Virginia receiver Marcus Simms. After the hit, Simms had to be helped off the field and was not allowed by medical staff to return to the game, while no penalty was called and Barnes was allowed to stay in the game.
