I never discussed dentures. I didn't like the idea of them. Peter thought that I should pay to have implants because of the state of my mouth. I didn't want to spend the money because that's the way I am, but I realised that I had so much worry about having such few teeth that I had to do it while I was able to afford it.

The dentist told me I've got the wrong sort of saliva, too acid and haven't done something about it quick enough, hoping that it would go away instead of that it's got worse and I've lost teeth.

I felt that she deserved some new teeth. I was absolutely pleased that she had it done.

There was a time when I couldn't have implants because of the nerve and Mark said it was no problem and that they are stronger and better than they used to be. He was quite happy to do it. I had an x-ray. He was very careful and he sent me all the information so I knew what I was going in to. It has worked very well.

When he actually fitted the implants I would say about four or five months later after taking care for a few days i forgotten they're there and been chewing on that side, which I wasn't doing before. We have apple trees in our garden, I had got to the stage where I was cutting up the apples and eating them in bits. Even peeling them. Now I can just pick up a lovely, juicy apple from the garden and I think the word is munch away at it.

I think it's piece of mind to go to a dentist that you trust. They treat you as if you are there all the time really. It is money well spent. You're not frightened to go to the dentist for one thing. And secondly you get what you pay for.

I have every confidence in them. They have helped me a lot.
