100 years since women won the right to be MPs

One hundred years ago today, the Qualification of Women's Act meant that women could become MPs for the first time. Just a month later, 17 pioneering women stood for election. MPs, including Work and Pensions Secretary Amber Rudd, gathered at Westminster alongside aspiring woman from their constituencies in a bid to encourage more women into politics. Report by Khanomh.
