Police: Concrete Chunk Thrown From Bridge Kills 54-Year-Old Driver

A fatal crash in Nashville is said to “likely” have been caused by a chunk of concrete that was thrown off of a bridge.

A fatal Tuesday crash in Nashville, Tennessee, is said to "likely" have been caused by a chunk of concrete that was thrown from the Shelby Avenue bridge.  The accident occurred at approximately 5:00 in the morning and claimed the life of Joe C. Shelton Jr., 54, who was on his way to work, reports The Tennessean. According to WZTV, "The concrete chunk went straight through Shelton's windshield and hit him in the face." Area authorities are asking that people with information about the responsible individual come forward.
