Toxic air hits Delhi-NCR after Diwali, firecrackers turn air toxic again

Delhi pollution level today, air quality and smog: On the day after Diwali, the air quality deteriorated in the national capital's most of the areas. In the morning, the visibility level was very low as the pollution shot up. According to the Air Quality Index (AQI) data, the major pollutant PM 2.5 and PM 10 are at 500 in Lodhi Road area. Delhi's Anand Vihar at 999, area around US Embassy, Chanakyapuri at 459 and area around Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium at 999 were all under the Hazardous category in Air Quality Index (AQI).
