Voters at the New Haven City Hall polling station broke out in collective chants of "let us vote!" after being told they may be turned away from same-day voter registration at 8 pm due to the long lines.

This video, filmed by Jordan Cozby that evening, shows voters wrapped around the atrium and chorusing in unison.

According to local media, some of the voting machines were damaged due to the rain. A sign stating that wait time was approximately four hours, and that arrival after 4 pm may not guarantee the opportunity to vote.
