Trump Wants Iran Out Of Oil Market, But Analysts Are Doubtful

The US will impose its second round of oil sanctions against Iran on Monday. Those that buy oil from Iran after the cutoff could be penalized, through fines or exclusion from the US financial system. While eight countries are set to receive sanctions waivers, Business Insider reports they could still end up squeezing global oil supply. In anticipation of sanctions, oil exports from Iran have already dropped by about a third since May.
