Black Box From Lion Air Flight Damaged By Sea Water

A black box from the Lion Air flight that crashed into the sea on Monday has been found and is damaged. According to experts, the device which was salvaged on Thursday morning "needs special handling to ensure its data survive". Business Insider reports that Haryo Satmiko, deputy chairman of the National Transport Safety Committee said the "crash-survivable memory unit" was broken open and had been affected by the sea water.
