Oprah To Hit Campaign Trail
for Georgia's Stacey Abrams If elected, Abrams would
be the first black woman
governor in U.S. history. Winfrey is slated to
attend two town hall
meetings in Marietta
and Decatur, and will go
door-to-door
with Abrams. Stacey Abrams, via 'The Washington Post' It's the first time that
Winfrey has hit the trail
since former President
Barack Obama's 2008 campaign. Former president Obama
has also endorsed Abrams. Abrams is in a neck-and-neck
race with Georgia Secretary
of State Brian Kemp. Allegations of
voter suppression have
tainted the campaigns. Both President Donald Trump
and Vice President Mike Pence
have endorsed Kemp.
