The reference dates back more than a year and recalls a very controversial photo that shows Griffin holding the fake and apparently severed head of President Trump. The comedian apologized at the time and has since expressed regret that didn't use a blow-up doll instead, noting that the set-up was a reference to Trump's 2015 assertion that reporter Megyn Kelly had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever."
