S. Korea FM tells Japan FM she respects court ruling on compensation for victims

Seoul and Tokyo exchanged views on the South Korean Supreme Court's ruling on Japan's use of Koreans for forced labor during World War Two.
The court ordered Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal corporation to pay compensation to the victims.
According to Seoul's foreign ministry, the two nation's top diplomats held a phone meeting today.
Despite concerns Tokyo expressed over the ruling, Kang Kyung-hwa told Taro Kono... that she respects the decision,... and that the government will review various factors before taking further steps.
Both FMs emphasized the need to work closely together for future-oriented relations.
