President Trump has blasted Martha McSally's Arizona Senate race opponent Kyrsten Sinema as a "Nancy Pelosi Wacko."
He tweeted Saturday: "Martha McSally is a great warrior, her opponent a Nancy Pelosi Wacko!"
His post was a response to Vice President Mike Pence's tweet stating: "PROUD to stand with the next Senator from Arizona - @MarthaMcSally! Martha is a leader in Congress, veteran of our armed forces, & advocate for America's veterans. @RealDonaldTrump & I are with her all the way!"
Pence had campaigned for the Republican in Yuma Friday, promoting the administration's tax cuts and judicial achievements while blasting the Democrats.
Despite Trump's tweet linking McSally's opponent with Pelosi, Sinema notably voted against the House Minority leader during a runoff to decide who would lead the Democrats in November 2016.
After Pelosi retained her leadership position, Sinema said she felt "deeply disappointed."
