The Bend, a Las Vegas retail and office project near Ikea, is set to break ground this year. The 17.5-acre project would include a movie theater, eateries and other tenants, and a five-story office building. It would bring more construction to the southwest valley, perhaps the fastest-growing area of Las Vegas. Developers have been building houses, apartments, offices and other projects in the area.
