XXXTENTACION's Abuse Confession Released As Label Plans Posthumous Album
  • 6 years ago
At the time of his murder in June 2018, Florida rapper XXXTENTACION was facing a lengthy list of felony charges, including aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering, for allegedly assaulting his then-pregnant girlfriend. This frequently played into media coverage of the rapper’s career during his lifetime, and the relationship in question was the main theme of his 2017 debut album '17.' The charges were dropped due to his death, and it seemed the case would never be resolved. Yesterday, however, Pitchfork published secretly-recorded audio of X admitting to domestic violence as well as nine stabbings in Florida.
