Tourists graffiti 800-year-old wall in Thailand, face 10 years in prison

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND — A pair of genius tourists could be looking at up to 10 years behind bars in Thailand for spray painting an 800-year-old wall.
Lee Furlong from Britain and Brittney Schneider from Canada, both 23, were busted at a hostel in Chiang Mai last Thursday, authorities said, according to Reuters.
CCTV footage shows the dynamic duo spray-painting the wall near the main entrance to the city's old town around 4 a.m. on Thursday.
Thailand authorities said the partners in crime appeared to be intoxicated. Wow, that's a surprise.
Furlong tagged the wall "Scouser Lee" in an apparent reference to the English city of Liverpool. Schneider decided to keep it simple with just a "B."
According to Thai police, the two are now looking at up to 10 years behind bars, a fine of up to $30,000 or both, if found guilty.
