It's the brink of winter and Delhi is holding its breath yet again with the smog crisis set to hit the capital this season too. Every November, air pollution in the NCR reaches levels unimaginable in most parts of the world. Delhi’s air quality remains very poor and is set to plunge further this week. Even as petrol pump owners hold a strike in the capital over fuel prices in Delhi, the menace of traffic jams, and air pollution continues to mar the residents. Our reporters at NewsX did a reality check on Delhi roads to find the cost of travel from one place to another via one's own vehicle vis a vis travelling by public transport. The need of the hour is to increase public transport in the city and increased awareness among citizens to switch to electric vehicles to contain the air pollution crisis in our midst.
