Next Year’s ‘Treehouse Of Horror’ On ‘The Simpsons’ Will Be 666th Episode

The latest entry in The Simpsons‘ long-time Halloween special, “Treehouse of Horror,” airs this Sunday on FOX.
Uproxx reports the current iteration is number XXIX, the 29th “Treehouse of Horror” episode.
This means next year’s edition will be “Treehouse of Horror XXX.”
Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly, that the 30th Treehouse of Horror episode will be the show’s 666th episode.
The series’ current showrunner joked that it was all part of the creators’ original plan, dating back to 1989.
