Jose Mourinho has been told he WON’T be sacked says pundit

MANCHESTER UNITED news is coming thick and fast despite the international break. Express Sport brings you all the latest from Old Trafford with Ed Woodward, Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria all featuring.

Man Utd sack plans

Ed Woodward reportedly told Jose Mourinho he has no plans to sack him as Manchester United manager YET despite their indifferent start to the new Premier League campaign.- but that results must improve if he is to stay at the helm.

That’s according to journalist Duncan Castles, who told the Transfer Window podcast: "It was reported on Saturday (October 6) there was a meeting between Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes and Woodward on Friday (October 5).

"What came across was that Manchester United did not want to sack Mourinho at this stage.

"That the noise was coming from outside not inside, that they still believed in him, that they still felt he had been successful in his first and second seasons and were not looking to sack him.

"It's been made clear to Mourinho that results have to change, but it wasn't a dismissal point."
Mourinho had Pogba hopes

Mourinho has reportedly hoped to heal his rift with United powerhouse Paul Pogba before the start of the season.

The Manchester Evening News say the Red Devils boss was keen to put the past behind them after the midfielder won the World Cup with France.

However, he feels Mino Raiola and the player’s entourage has stopped that from happening.

Pogba has been critical of United this season.

And those actions have seen him stripped of the vice-captaincy by Mourinho, who took the role away from him last month.
