CNN says former rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was sentenced to 28 years in prison.
Knight is serving prison for the death of a man during a hit-and-run incident.
The accident occurred on the set of the movie "Straight Outta Compton."
Knight pleaded no contest to manslaughter in connection with the death of Terry Carter.
The former Death Row Records co-founder had been facing life in prison for Carter's death.
Cle "Bone" Sloan was maimed after Knight allegedly struck the pair with his truck.
