A huge demand for healthcare services, along with China’s speedy transformation into an ageing society, has prompted Beijing to push the innovation of medical robots, such as the TiRobot.
President Xi Jinping called for a “robot revolution” in 2014 and Beijing’s blueprint for its industrial future — dubbed “Made in China 2025” – earmarks medical robotics for development.
