Experian's Credit Freeze Software Glitch Left Customers Vulnerable

After Equifax’s infamous 2017 data breach, Americans were urged to freeze their credit to protect themselves from identity theft. But according to LifeHacker's Two Cents, Experian's system for verifying PINs to unfreeze credit had a major security flaw, leaving people vulnerable to scammers. An Experian spokesman says the company is confident that their authentication is secure and no credit files are at risk.
