A journalist has reportedly been fired after wearing a MAGA hat while covering a Trump rally.

A journalist in Minnesota has been fired for wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat while reporting on a rally held by President Trump.
According to BuzzFeed News, Jim Bunner with NBC-affiliate KTTC was let go one day after photos circulated online of him reporting for the station wearing a red KTTC jacket and red MAGA hat.
Mark Vancleave with the Minnesota Star Tribune has been named as a source of these photos. He had tweeted them out on Thursday, the day of the rally, with the caption, "Whyyyyy?"
KTTC's news director Noel Sederstrom has since confirmed Bunner's firing, telling BuzzFeed News, "He violated our policy so he's no longer with us. We don't allow our people to wear campaign clothing while on assignment."
Bunner was reportedly vocal about his conservative viewpoint on social media as well, with indications of support for the NRA and Trump's inauguration.
Bunner has not yet publicly responded to inquiries about his firing.
