Actor turned politician Kamal Hasan says personalities don't matter in politics. He was answering a question about who should voters in Tamil Nadu choose between him and Rajnikanth. He added that Rajnikanth's party is still slumbering in the womb whereas he is walking with the people of Tamil Nadu. Kamal Haasan was speaking at the 16th Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. He also said that he is not in the business of public relations but will only speak about the welfare of Tamil Nadu. “The state of Tamil Nadu deserves its place within India. We could have been there 30-40 years ago. My goal right now is Tamil Nadu,” said Kamal Haasan.
