CNN reports that some 259 people worldwide have died while taking selfies from 2011 to 2017.
That number comes from a study published in the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care.
Most deaths happen in India, Russia, the US, and Pakistan. 72% are men under 30 years old.
India accounted for more than half the total with 159 reported selfie deaths since 2011.
This is due to the country's enormous population of people under 30, which is the world's largest.
