Thai love hotel sparks outrage with Nazi-themed room

A Thai love hotel has sparked outrage with a bizarre Nazi-themed room - decorated with murals of Adolf Hitler.

The Villa Love Hotel on the outskirts of Bangkok has three floors of ''short time'' rooms - with one of the most popular being the ''Communism Room.'' Confusingly, it includes two giant images of Hitler.

The Hitler images tower over a kingsize bed. Other paraphernalia include the Communist hammer and sickle on one wall and a giant swastika painted behind a TV playing Japanese adult films.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center based in Los Angeles branded the hotel ''horrendous'' and ''disgusting'' while local Rabbis in Thailand said it was ''very inappropriate'' and urged authorities to intervene. Efraim Zuroff said: ''This is truly awful. It's horrendous, absolutely disgusting. The Thai government needs to be a lot more active in preventing this kind of thing and there's no reason why they shouldn't be.''

Rabbi Abraham Cooper from California described the Nazi-themed room in a Thai love hotel as ''beyond the pale.''

He said: ''There's no excuse in the age of Wikipedia for someone to not know that Hitler was one of the worst monsters of history. This hotel is outrageous and beyond the pale. The rooms needs to be painted over immediately and the Thai government needs to take instant action if the country wants to be taken seriously as a tourist destination."

Love hotels are where couples go to find a space for sexual intimacy.

Prices here start at 410 baht (13USD) for two people for three hours and each additional hour is 150 baht and each extra guest is 100 baht.
