These were the scenes in Hackney this morning (October 3) as a burst water main flooded a busy road, forcing people to abandon their homes and cars.
The incident occurred on Lea Bridge Road near the Leyton area. The road was submerged by a burst pipe which filled the road and surrounding houses with water.
The filmer said: "I was doing a delivery on Lower Clapton Road in East London when I went past Lea bridge road."
Additionally, they said: "Emergency services had the situation under control but a car did get flooded."
Thames Water and London Fire Brigade are currently on the scene fixing the pipe and diverting flood water.
