Idaho Hospital Staff Pays Tribute to Organ Donor Patient With 'Walk of Respect'

A hospital staff in Boise, Idaho, paid tribute on September 27 to their second patient of the week who was donating organs.St. Luke’s Health System shared the footage of the “Walk of Respect” on their Facebook page. “Staff at St. Luke’s Meridian stop to line halls of ICU to show respect for the second patient this week providing the life-saving gift of organ donation,” the post said. The video shows the patient being wheeled down the hall as the staff lines the hallway.A spokesperson told Storyful that the patient was 53-years-old and was in the Intensive Care Unit. “He was in our ICU and moved to the Operating Room where he was taken off life support and passed quietly with his family by his side,” they said.
