The Mineral Resources Authority is warning alluvial miners who may be conducting unauthorized semi-mechanized or mechanized alluvial mining, to stop their activities.

This is to avoid deaths caused by unauthorized mining.

In a statement the MRA says it is tightening up on non-compliance to stop the illegal activities.
