Hidden Mayan Ruins Revealed Under Tropical Forrest

12,000 ancient Mayan buildings hidden under a tropical Forrest in Guatemala have been revealed after using technology named LiDAR. Laser lights are attached to air crafts and penetrate the ground at 900,000 times per second to create 3D maps that show the topography of the ground.

An international group of researches named PACUNAM used the technology.
