Wreckage After Earthquake Shows Coastline of Palu Almost Unrecognizable
  • 6 years ago
The coastline of Palu, Indonesia, appeared completely transformed on September 29, a day after an earthquake and tsunami hit the region. This footage taken by Saikhul Islam shows nothing left on the ocean side of a road that was lined with furniture stores and trees before the disaster, according to a view on Google maps.More than 800 people have died so far, local news reports said, though that number is likely to increase as areas hit by the tsunami and earthquake remain unreachable.
