Fitbit Moving Away from Simple Step Counter

According to Business Insider, Fitbit is putting plans into motion to stay relevant with consumers as it faces more competition from tech companies like Apple and Garmin. Fitbit will soon be launching Fitbit Care, a health platform that will combine coaching, virtual care, wearable devices, and self-tracking. The goal of this platform is to help employers' and health plans members get healthier. At the moment, the program is just for consumers whose employers, health plans, or health systems opt into it.
