FC Zurich's Benjamin Kololli falls down dry moat celebrating penalty in hilarious fail

This is the moment FC Zurich player Benjamin Kololli celebrated scoring a penalty - before disappearing from view between a gap in front of fans.

Video filmed during the UEFA Europa League match against AEK Larnaca in Nicosia last night (September 20) shows the midfielder scoring a penalty before running off the field towards his own fans, jumping over advertising hoardings and then over another ledge, disappearing into the stadium's dry moat.

In the clip, other Zurich players - who had can be seen running after him to celebrate - jump onto the ledge and peer over to see where he has gone.

According to reports Kololli hauled to his feet and was able to continue.

The match, which took place at GSP Stadium, ended 1-0 to Zurich.

The filmer said: "When he fell down the home fans were cracked up! They obviously knew how deep it was."

Additional footage seen here shows supporters setting off flares and waving flags in celebration of the game-winning goal as well as fans chanting before the game.
