Ganesh Chaturthi: Know why Ganesh Visarjan takes places after 10 days. Hindus celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi for 10 days, and on the the 11th day of this festival is Ganesh Visarjan. The statue is to be immersed in a river or the sea symbolizing a ritual see-off of the Lord in his journey towards his abode in Kailash while taking away with him the misfortunes of his devotees.

दस दिनों के बाद क्यों होता है गणेश विसर्जन। दस दिन के बाद बड़े ही धूमधाम से एक भारी जुलूस निकाला जाता है जिसमें सभी भक्त एकत्रित होकर भगवान गणेश की प्रतिमा को रथ पर बैठाकर नदी की ओर ले जाते हैं। सभी भक्त नाचते गाते नदी तक पहुंचते हैं।
