Former Vice President Al Gore on Tuesday described the Trump presidency as an "experiment" that is "not going well."  In an interview with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell, Gore was asked to comment on changing norms in the government, and particularly the president's recent criticisms of "the Justice Department for not being partisan enough."
"The rule of law is the bedrock of the United States of America…we cannot allow that to be challenged or overturned," Gore said. "This experiment with Trumpism is not going well in the view of most people," he further remarked. "You know, in science and medicine some experiments are terminated early for ethical reasons." Gore also noted that he believes there "is more resilience in the American system than we often give it credit for. We have gone through worse times."
Weeks ago, he said it's time for Trump to vacate the Oval Office. In an interview with Los Angeles' KTTV, Gore had a one-word message for Trump—"resign."  "I think everyone knows to discount what this current Administration is doing and saying. They've made the EPA the CPA! The Coal Production Agency instead of protecting the environment," Gore also commented.
