U.S. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer believes allegations against Brett Kavanaugh are credible. The U.S. Supreme Court nominee was recently accused of sexual assault by Christine Blasey Ford. Schumer is now asking the FBI to reopen its background investigation on Kavanaugh. According to Reuters, if the investigation does reopen then the vote would be delayed. Schumer said trying to rush the nomination would be “an insult to the women of America.”
