Florence to Re-intensify, Become Extratropical Cyclone Florence is expected to weaken on Monday before it transitions to an extratropical cyclone Tuesday
and Wednesday, Extratropical cyclones are capable of producing anything from clouds and mild showers to heavy wind, thunderstorms and tornadoes. On Monday morning, the center of the storm was located about 145 miles northwest of Greensboro, North Carolina, Portions of the Mid Atlantic states into New York and New England are expected to receive an additional 2 to 4 inches of rain. Tornadoes remain possible from northeast South Carolina and eastern North Carolina
