Poll Says Young People Support Nike/Kaepernick Partnership A new poll says a majority of people between the ages of 18 to 34 in the U.S. support Nike's "Just Do It" campaign with Colin Kaepernick. The poll from
SSRS Omnibus says
44% support the campaign, while
32% oppose. In the 35-to-44 age bracket, 52% approve, while 37% are against it. Older adults are less supportive of the move, with only 26% of adults backing the decision. Thankfully for Nike, older people do not make up their base. Market research firm NPD Group says two-thirds of the company's sneaker customers are younger than 35. Nike's stock is up since the Kaepernick ad, and the company's sales online jumped 31% after it was released. Some investment analysts have even called the ad a "stroke of genius."
