In India, heart disease claims the lives of roughly 1.7 million people annually. Now a doctor in Maharashtra has found a way to diagnose cardiac problems without putting the patient through diagnostic tests. According to Dr Himmatrao Bawaskar, the diagonal earlobe crease is one of the most visible signs of heart disease. Dr Bawaskar studied 888 patients and found that 508 heart patients had an ear crease. And 95 % of those who had an ear crease had ischemic heart disease.
