Pompeo calls Kerry's meeting with Iranian official 'unseemly and unprecedented'

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo strongly criticized Former Secretary of State John Kerry over his meeting with European and Iranian diplomats while speaking to the press in Washington DC on Friday.

"What Secretary Kerry has done is unseemly and unprecedented. This is a former Secretary of State engaged with the world's largest sponsor of state terror," Pompeo said, and added "the secretary ought not to engage in that type of behaviour."

Pompeo also said that if other US officials were participating in similar meeting, then "the admonitions that I suggested for former Secretary Kerry would apply to them as well."
