Mexican Restaurant in America The Harris Poll, a nationwide consumer survey of favorite brands, has recently unveiled
its 2018 results. The online survey sampled the opinion
of 77,031 Americans age 15 and up
between Jan. 3 and Feb. 15, 2018. The survey revealed that Taco Bell —
surpassing last year's champion, Chipotle —
is America's favorite "Mexican restaurant." Chipotle was hurt in its rankings due to
reports of food-borne illnesses in recent years. Earlier this year, Taco Bell claimed the title of the fourth largest fast-food joint, behind only McDonald's, Starbucks and Subway. Taco Bell's release of Nacho Fries is their most successful product launch ever, so it's really no surprise that they claimed the title of "Best Mexican Restaurant." The other chains in the running for the title were Qdoba, Baja Fresh, Moe's Southwest Grill and Del Taco.
