‘Flukes of nature’: Argyle pink diamonds

The exclusive annual Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender of some of the finest diamonds from the Argyle Diamond Mine in western Australia, is currently taking place in Hong Kong. The diamonds are sought after in Hong Kong and mainland China for their auspicious colours: pink, red and violet. The Argyle Diamond Mine accounts for around 90 per cent of the world’s pink diamond supply. The mine is set to close in 2020 and it’s therefore expected that the exorbitant high value of these coloured diamonds will increase even more.
