Event Recap Apple's annual September press conference kicked off at the Steve Jobs Theater in
Cupertino, California. One of the tech giant's many announcements was that the iPhone X is getting an upgrade and new
size options. It also revealed upcoming new smartphones: The iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. The iPhone XS models will launch September 21, while the XR debuts in October. In addition, Apple showed
off an upgrade to its
3-year-old smartwatch. The Apple Watch Series 4 now has a larger display, more reliable reception, a built-in ECG scanner and is two times faster. Preorders will start on September 14, and the watches will be available on September 21. Apple also says its launching a recycling program called 'GiveBack.' This service lets the company buy your old devices if it's in good condition or recycle them for free if it's not usable. If you don't plan on getting an iPhone or smartwatch, Apple will release
iOS 12 on September 17th. In terms of software, Mac OS Mojave will become officially available for all on September 24.
